We are pleased to announce the appointment of three new members to the St John of God Foundation Board.
The new board members bring years of experience in the government and health care sectors, and will provide leadership and governance to the Foundation to pursue its charitable purpose of advancing health care in the community.The new board members are Mr Bryan Pyne, St John of God Health Care Acting Chief Executive Officer, Mr Michael Crevola, St John of God Health Care’s Group Chief Financial Officer and Ms Tina Chinery, St John of God Subiaco Hospital Chief Executive Officer.
“Bryan, Michael and Tina will provide exceptional oversight to our national philanthropy strategy and operations,” said Ms Bianca Pietralla, Chief Executive Officer, St John of God Foundation.
“With their breadth of expertise, they will further enhance understanding of the unmet health care needs across our network and opportunities to help patients, families and populations. This is only achieved with the continued support of our community and partners.”
Prior to commencing his role with St John of God Health Care in August 2022, Michael was Chief Finance Officer at WA Department of Communities and has experience in strategic planning, business improvement, finance transformation, capital management and risk and financial management.
Tina has significant health and aged care experience with her previous positions including Chief Executive Officer – Cairns Hinterland Hospital and Health Service (CHHHS), Regional Director and Chief Operating Officer for WA Country Health (WACHS), and Executive Director of Commissioning for Perth Children’s Hospital (WA Health).
These appointments were made prior to the recent retirement announcement made by Dr Shane Kelly, Group CEO of St John of God Health Care and Board Director of St John of God Foundation.
“We were privileged to have Shane’s leadership on the St John of God Foundation Board, which he joined following his appointment as Group CEO in 2018. Shane served as Board Chair until September 2019, and as a Director until December 2022. We wish him all the best as he embarks upon this new chapter of his life, including spending more time with his family and pursuing a career as a non-executive director,” said Ms Pietralla.
