Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.
Galatians 6:9
Right now, we find ourselves in extraordinary times and hope may seem an elusive concept.
In these times however, I am reminded of how much our community has hope in the work of St John of God Health Care, and of our healing mission.
Over the next few days, people around the world will reflect on the story of Easter, and many will find meaning in the death and resurrection of Jesus.
Within the St John of God Health Care community, we will each approach this time in different ways. Some through the lens of faith, others as an opportunity for reflection, and others with a fridge full of chocolate. (These are not mutually exclusive options!)
Easter brings hope in many forms. I have also reflected that hope is a gift that you, as supporters of our Mission, often and graciously extend to our caregivers, patients and their families in many forms, and for that we say ‘thank you.’ Thank you for everything you do in helping to bring hope to patients in their time of need.
In the context of these challenging times, may you too keep your hearts open for signs of hope, understanding, joy, and peace.
I wish you and your loved ones a very happy Easter.
